Dr. Ronald Meisel, D.O., is a native of Mount Clemens, Michigan, who has been practicing in Macomb County since 1996. He graduated from Olivet College in 1985 and then attended Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1989. He served a 1-year rotating internship followed by a 4-year orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital, graduating in 1994. He then practiced in Western Pennsylvania for 2 years and then returned to his home and has continuously served the residents of Macomb County since 1996.

Dr. Meisel specializes in hip and knee joint replacement and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and knee, along with other surgeries involving the hand and foot. Dr. Meisel is committed and compassionate for patient care and recovery. His goal is to provide focused-patient care to allow the patient to resume maximal activity level.

Dr. Meisel has been an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, serving as an orthopedic surgery resident trainer at McLaren Macomb Hospital. He remains involved in teaching medical students that rotate through the McLaren Macomb system.
Over the last 28 years, Dr. Meisel has remained involved in the community playing soccer in adult league following his college career. He coached at the grade school and high school level during the years that his adult children were attending school. In addition to enjoying his orthopedic practice, he has an interest in sports, music, and history, and enjoys travel.
